Dr Caitlin West is a speaker, podcaster, and university lecturer based in the United Kingdom. She has a background in theatre, comedy, and music, and a deep love for the arts and apologetics.
Caitlin founded the podcast Crash Course Catholicism in 2021, after her experiences as a catechist exposed her to the thirst that many young people have for truth, and the joy and peace that they discovered through their exposure to Catholicism.
When teaching doctrine, Caitlin often hears people say that Catholic teaching “just makes sense.” This phrase shapes her mission: to show that Truth is not distant, inaccessible, or obscure, and that living the Catholic faith is compatible with being an ordinary person in the middle of the world. She is passionate about communicating Catholic teaching in a way that is accessible, engaging, and intellectually stimulating.
Caitlin has over ten years of experience giving talks, workshops and classes. She has spoken to high schools, youth groups, RCIA programs, religion classes, and at conferences, covering topics of friendship, professional and spiritual life, literature, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Caitlin is available to hire as a speaker either in person in the United Kingdom or online. Please get in touch via the Support page.
